Is there any way to autocomplete reference information on an entire issue of a journal/magazine ( e.g., the summer issue of "xxxxx" is "titled" ). I have tried using Google Scholar, it returns multiple references to specific articles in a particular issue, but I am looking to create a reference for the entire issue. Does this have to be done manually?

No, I can't think of anyway to do that. You'll have to enter the journal issue information (which is mostly the title and date of publication I imagine) manually.
